This past weekend I lost one of my beloved mentors and friend, Mr. Jim Rohn. Jim has had a huge impact in my life, not only in my career but my personal life as well.

I had the opportunity many years ago to meet Jim at a seminar. I never forgot his presentation that day, and had the opportunity to meet him later that evening. I have purchased all his books, cd’s and dvd’s as soon as they were available.

One quote I will always remember Jim for is “why not me”. Pretty much says it all in 3 simple words – there is no reason why I can not be what I want to be – conquer all my goals in life.

Jim also taught me; if your not succeeding at a pace you want to be – then your just not asking enough questions! Knowledge is Power – If you don’t know something – find someone who does.

Jim always taught me to say thanks and how to give back in life – What Jim taught me is why I mentor today.

With any start business venture, building a customer list is most important. Free Giveaways are one of the fastest and easiest ways to add a lot of subscribers to your email list. You would be surprised at how many of the big guru’s started there lists with JV Giveaways.

They are the perfect free business plan tool for people who are just getting started with their list building because they don’t cost anything and they create the JV partnerships for you. You get to leverage the efforts of 100′s of other marketers. It is a very easy and simple internet marketing strategy.

Learn From The Giveaway Products

Obviously, the very first thing that you should do with the products that you download from the free giveaways is to learn from them. There is a great deal of valuable information that you can apply to your start business, especially since so many of the products are Internet Marketing related. You can learn a variety of different things by reading the information, but there is still more that you can learn from these products.

First, remember why you are downloading these products in the first place, in terms of how it benefits that person providing the free product. They are building a massively large list of prospects. By going through and looking at what others are providing, the next time you hear about an upcoming giveaway, you can toss your own name (and free product) in the ring, and build your own list.

Pay attention to what types of products are given away, how long they are, how much detail goes into them, and to their potential value if they were sold, instead of given away. Look at the overall quality of the products. Also pay attention to the squeeze pages, where you submit your name and email address in order to download the product, and to the OTO, that you will inevitably see before you reach the download page. This is all valuable information and knowledge to have when you are ready to participate in these giveaways as a donor.

Pay special attention to the Internet Marketing related products, even if you have no interest in entering the Internet Marketing niche yourself. Again, there is a ton of information that you can learn from. Make use of it! Start reading each product, and make notes. Who knows? At the end, you may discover that you’ve created your very own Internet Marketing niche product – even if you didn’t intend to!

Pay attention to the packaging. You will find that most products are PDF files. This is because people don’t mind downloading PDF files, whereas they often will avoid downloading an .exe file. .Exe files have the potential for carrying and spreading viruses.

Look at how the products are presented as well. Even though they are typically simple PDF files, they almost always have a graphic that looks like a book, with the title of the ebook or report on the front. They look very nice, and this is important. You can easily create your own ebook covers, as well as graphics of CDs and DVDs with software – and the chances of you coming across such software at one of the giveaways is very high.

So, the first thing you do with your downloaded products is to learn as much as you can from them – from the information they contain, to the way they are put together, to the way that they are presented. This information alone can literally be worth thousands of dollars to you down the road.

I would certainly include a free business plan using JV Giveaways to your start business. I highly recommend this internet marketing strategy.
