For several years, I’ve been working with a mentor on opening a business. I’m still working on how large a business I will be able to maintain, and have been contemplating between LLC and a Corporation. Please provide expertise from a tax perspective. Thank you.

I don’t know about the tax advantages,

However, I do know that there there is “risk involved with any business, 1. restraunts, 2, furniture stores. 3 other retail, I’m not sure ho the others rank, but be sure you do your homework first which it sounds like you are doing.

Good luck in finding that much needed help. I too was in that same position and did what every one said go to SCORE. That was the WORST decision I ever made. They were worthless, rude and had no idea what they were doing. They are retired old business men who have better to do with their time, so they sit in an office and tell you what they think. Which by the way was nothing! The best thing I did was join entrepenour yahoo groups. You can learn a wealth of free information and every single thing you would want to know. They have all been in your position one time or another. Best of luck!
